High-strength structural profiles made from glass-fibre-reinforced plastic

GRP pipes

Our GRP pipes are pultruded structural profiles with a closed, round cross-section. We offer these durable GRP round tubes in a wide range of diameters and wall thicknesses directly from our standard range. They are used in demanding applications – for example, in plant engineering, electrical engineering, corrosion-resistant railing systems or as load-bearing support structures.

Our pultruded GRP pipes are not suitable for applications involving internal pressure (e.g. as pressurised water or gas pipes).

Advantages of GRP

Antimagnetic
GRP is non-magnetic and is suitable for use in sensitive technical environments.
Corrosion-resistant
GRP does not rust and remains durable even in damp or corrosive environments.
Easy and quick to use
Its light weight makes it easier to transport, cut to size and install.
Electrical insulation
GRP does not conduct electricity and enhances safety in electrical applications.
No earthing required
Due to its non-conductive properties, earthing is not required in many applications.
Lightweight
GRP reduces the load on the structure and simplifies fabrication.
Electromagnetically transparent
GRP has virtually no effect on radio, radar or measurement signals.
Weather-resistant
GRP is resistant to moisture, UV radiation and temperature fluctuations.
Self-extinguishing
Depending on the material used, GRP may have fire-retardant properties.
Linear stress–strain behaviour
GRP offers predictable mechanical behaviour under load.
Suitable for use across a wide temperature range
GRP retains its shape and functionality across a wide range of temperatures.
Thermal insulation
GRP is a poor conductor of heat and is suitable for applications requiring thermal separation.
High load-bearing capacity
GRP offers high strength combined with low weight.
Cost-effectiveness
GRP reduces costs in the long term thanks to its durability, low maintenance requirements and ease of installation.
