GRP Z-profile

GRP Z-profiles are versatile structural profiles made of glass fibre reinforced plastic and are particularly suitable for connecting, stiffening, end and offset constructions. Thanks to their Z-shaped geometry, they enable stable yet lightweight solutions in a wide range of technical applications.

The profiles are manufactured using the pultrusion process. This results in constant wall thicknesses, a uniform fibre orientation and reliable mechanical characteristics over the entire length. The GRP material is electrically non-conductive, corrosion-resistant, weather-resistant and resistant to numerous chemicals.

Components in structural use

Typical areas of application can be found in plant engineering, water management, electrical engineering and in damp or corrosive environments. Where metallic materials reach their limits, GRP Z-profiles offer a durable, low-maintenance and economical alternative.

We usually have the dimensions marked in orange in stock in 6-meter lengths.

VERSATILE THROUGH GEOMETRY

The Z-shape enables connections and transitions that would be more complex to construct with simple angle or flat profiles. The profile connects two offset connection surfaces in one component - this reduces the number of individual parts required and simplifies the construction of substructures.

DURABLE IN OUTDOOR USE

At 0.15 %, GRP absorbs practically no moisture and is resistant to chlorides and many chemicals. There is no need for protective coatings or regular surface inspections over the entire service life.

ISOLATING

With a volume resistance of 10¹⁰ - 10¹⁵ Ohm-cm, GRP is electrically non-conductive and, with a thermal conductivity of 0.43 W/(m-K), also thermally insulating - relevant in railway applications, in the energy sector and in the building envelope.
