Fibrolux GRP solid rods are manufactured using the pultrusion process. The result is a round rod with consistent properties over its entire length. From Ø 1.2 mm to Ø 75 mm, the range covers a wide spectrum of requirements. Many dimensions are available from stock in 6 m lengths, special dimensions on request.
The profiles and systems are developed for environments in which moisture, corrosion, stress and long periods of use play a role. Typical applications include tent poles, supports for antennas or measuring systems, spacers, distance rods and reinforcing rods.
GRP solid rods are characterised by their low weight and high mechanical stability. This makes them easy to transport, simple to install and particularly suitable for applications where weight needs to be saved.
GRP absorbs very little moisture and is resistant to weathering, corrosion and many chemicals. Protective coatings or regular surface treatments are generally not required.
GRP solid rods can be sawn, drilled, sanded and cut to size. No additional corrosion protection is required after processing, as the material remains inherently rustproof and permanently resistant.
