GRP solid rods

GRP rods offer high tensile strength with a low dead weight. They are suitable as reinforcing elements, spacers, guide elements or structural components in a wide variety of applications.

Fibrolux GRP solid rods are manufactured using the pultrusion process. The result is a round rod with constant properties over its entire length. The uniform fibre orientation results in reliable mechanical characteristics, which form an important basis for technical applications and structural designs.

From Ø 1.2 mm to Ø 75 mm, the range covers a wide spectrum of requirements. Many dimensions are available from stock in 6 metre lengths; special dimensions are available on request.

Components in actual use

GRP solid poles are used wherever a slim, resilient element is required that neither rusts nor conducts. As tent poles and mast poles for temporary structures, they impress with their low weight and easy handling on site. In model making, measurement technology and as supports for antennas or sensors, the slim cross-section combined with high tensile stiffness is particularly important. In industrial constructions, they are used as spacers, distance rods or guide elements - even in areas where metal is ruled out for design or safety reasons.
