GRP T-PROFILE

Fibrolux GRP T-profiles combine the structural advantages of the T-section with the material properties of glass fibre reinforced plastic. The result is a component that is permanently corrosion-resistant, electrically insulating and low-maintenance - even in environments that put other materials under constant stress.

 

Fibrolux supplies GRP T-profiles in dimensions from 40 × 40 to 100 × 100 mm, with wall thicknesses from 3 to 8 mm. For project-specific requirements, we also manufacture moulds for individual dimensions on request.

Jetties and platforms

As a stiffening rib under grating surfaces or as a joist in walk-on platform constructions.

Supporting structures and frame constructions

As a supplementary structural element for stiffening frames and support systems.

Staircases and access structures

As a support or intermediate profile in GRP staircase systems and access solutions.

Structurally effective. Simply integrated.

As a material, GRP has properties that are increasingly in demand in plant and structural engineering: no corrosion, no electrical conductivity, low thermal conductivity and a low dead weight with good mechanical strength. In the T-profile, these properties come into their own particularly where the component is permanently exposed to moisture, chemical media or electrical fields.

Manufactured using the pultrusion process, fibre orientation and wall thickness are constant over the entire length - the basis for reliable characteristic values in planning.

Advantages of GRP T-profiles

STIFFNESS
GRP has a modulus of elasticity of approx. 23,000 - 28,000 MPa and retains its dimensional stability even under permanent load.
STABILITY
GRP hardly absorbs any moisture and does not react to chlorine, acids or the chemical stresses typically found in sewage treatment plants.
ASSEMBLY
With a bulk density of approx. 1.8 g/cm³, GRP is significantly lighter than most construction materials.
WEATHERPROOF
UV, frost and temperature resistant - even in permanent outdoor use.
