Structural elements often need to be restored or even replaced due to corrosion damage to the steel reinforcement, which leads to destruction of the concrete structure. This applies in particular to components that are exposed to road salt. With the use of GRP reinforcement, corrosion is a thing of the past. It drastically reduces the number of component repairs needed. GFRP reinforcements are mainly used for concrete and polymer concrete components.
