GRP designs offer significant corrosion advantages over metal and are therefore much more economical over the life cycle. Easy machinability makes on-site adjustments simple and effective. Due to the low weight, assembly can often be carried out purely manually, without a crane or other lifting equipment. This makes handling at high altitudes much easier. Typical applications include catwalks, bridge structures and decks, chemical plants, cooling towers, water treatment, and oil and gas plants.
