PULTRUDED CARBON TUBES

(extrusion process) consist of carbon fibers drawn through a resin bath and then through a heated die. Longitudinal forces are absorbed by rovings (unidirectional carbon fibers) arranged in the core of the profiles. Depending on the profile type, transverse reinforcement is provided by additionally embedded reinforcing layers.

PULTRUDED CARBON RODS

(extrusion process) consist of carbon fibers drawn through a resin bath and then through a heated die. Longitudinal forces are absorbed by rovings (unidirectional carbon fibers), shear forces by the resin matrix.
